Take a trip through the winter woods to learn how trees change from season to season!

Come for a half-mile walk on our Red Trail and enjoy our new nature story as you go. With each page, share in an adventure with Maple, a nature-loving kid who has as a special relationship with a tree. See how she and the tree greet the changing seasons with our March book in the woods, Maple by Lori Nichols.

Mashomack Musings

Our biweekly column in the Shelter Island Reporter highlights local wildlife and conservation. Be sure to view the latest March columns to learn about animal tracks in the snow and find out more about goldenrod galls and meadow conservation at the Preserve.
