THE BULKHEAD CHALLENGE

SUMMER IS ENDING, WORK IS JUST BEGINNING

In September we are closing The Art Barge for the season and beginning work to reconstruct the bulkhead, which has been in disrepair and in need of replacement after nearly sixty years of protecting The Art Barge from rising tides and winter storms. Permits are in place and we are ready to proceed. As you can see from the photo below, the situation is dire and we cannot wait any longer to do this work.

WE HAVE A BULK OF THE MONEY

CAN WE COUNT ON OUR COMMUNITY TO HELP US RAISE THE REST?

Thanks to many generous donations received over the past year, we have nearly fifty percent of the sum needed. We still need to raise $100,000 for the reconstruction of the bulkhead at The Art Barge and need help to reach this goal.

Our wonderful friends, Amy and Bill Conway, are starting us off with a challenge gift of $25,000!

$25,000 BY SEPTEMBER 25TH

We are requesting donations for the Bulkhead Challenge to help us match the Conway’s contribution by September 25th. If we reach this goal, the Conways have promised another $25,000 to bring us that much closer to our goal of $100,000.

Whether it’s $25, $250, $2,500 or more, donations of any amount will go toward matching the Conway’s generous gift.

Checks can be mailed to:

The Victor D’Amico Institute of Art, PO Box 1266, Amagansett, NY 11930
with Bulkhead Campaign in the memo field

Secure donations can be made online or by calling 631.267.3172
