This exhibition is a selection of new paintings and unique works on paper created in 2020 by American artist Colin Goldberg. Goldberg is an American artist born in the Bronx, New York in 1971, known for coining the term “Techspressionism” in 2011. Techspressionism was first described as a movement in this 2014 WIRED article by Kendra Vaculin:

Over the course of 2020, Techspressionism has grown into an international collective, with a group exhibition is planned for 2021 on Kunstmatrix. More information is available at www.techspressionism.com.

Goldberg served as a guest panelist for “Abstract Expressionism in the 21st Century Part 2”, a symposium held at the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in East Hampton, and was a guest speaker at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, NY for PechaKucha Hamptons in 2019

The artist is a recipient of artist grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the New York State Council on the Arts. His works reside in the permanent public collections of the Pollock-Krasner House & Study Center, Stony Brook Medicine and the Islip Art Museum.
