DIGITIZATION PROJECT

This summer, intern Julia Gatenio has joined our office to begin an exciting project: the digitization of our EHHS photography collection.

What does this mean? Julia is conducting an inventory of our photographs, scanning each image at a high resolution, assigning images accession numbers for collection identification, entering this information into our collections database, and re-housing the historic photographs with archival storage materials.

Thanks to this project, the EHHS will have an accurate inventory of the photographs it holds and be able to make them more accessible to the public for research. You will see us using these historic images much more frequently in our newsletters, websites, social media, and exhibitions. We are very grateful Julia has chosen to share her summer with us and hope that this experience is a great resource for her future career.
