Thank you to everyone who attended our Montauk Walking Tour at the end of September.  Another rainy day that didn’t hold back AIA Peconic Members and friends from enjoying architecture and history! A big thank you to GreenLogic, Silver Lining, and Renewable Energy Long Island for hosting our October continuing-education presentation and Annual Meeting.  And yet another big thank you goes out to Douglas Halstrom for leading the Study Presentation on the A201.

At our Annual Meeting on October 19. President Lori Beppu, AIA gave a report on the state of AIA Peconic, highlighting so many wonderful accomplishments for our chapter this year and setting a vision for what we might accomplish in the near future.  Thank you, Lori, and to the entire 2023 Board for your dedication and leadership.  The Membership also confirmed the slate of 2024 Officers.  See below.

  • President: Edgar B. Papazian, AIA
  • Vice President: Benjamin Chaleff, AIA
  • Treasurer: Anne Sherry, AIA
  • Associate Liaison: Brianna Lopez, Associate AIA
  • AIA NYS Representative: Ric Stott, AIA

Lori will serve as Past President and counsel Douglas Halstrom, Esq. will continue to serve as well.  At this time, we have a vacancy.  The role of Secretary is open for 2024.  If you would like to nominate yourself or another AIA Peconic Member, please email me.

October was a good month for AIA Peconic… November and December promise to be good months, as well.   And I have no doubt that 2024 will be a good and fulfilling year.  If you have a program idea or a learning objective you would like AIA Peconic to explore, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.  The outgoing and incoming Boards are busy outlining the year ahead.
