Art from the Heart | A Community of Artists Helps a Community in Need

On October 26, 2024, the Southampton Artists Association (SAA) will host an public reception to benefit Heart of the Hamptons; then the display and sale remains open through November 11, 2024.

The SAA, a long-time local group of painters, photographers, sculptors, and multimedia artists exhibits art together several times a year at the Levitas Art Gallery in the Southampton Cultural Center.

’Art From The Heart’ Art Show is proud to offer dozens of custom-created 10” by 10″ vibrant and relatable images – paintings, mixed media and photography- everyone can buy them for only $200 each. 50% of the proceeds go to Heart of the Hamptons and 50% to the artist. All of the works are unsigned by the SAA artist. See if you can recognize your fan favorites!

For over 40 years SAA has offered a place to nurture and support local creatives, Suffolk County artists from a breadth of professional backgrounds and life experiences. As a non-profit volunteer association, they welcome and encourage members to hone their skills, share ideas, and inspire communities.

Heart of the Hamptons is far more than a food pantry, although this year alone, more than 300,000 meals have been distributed throughout our area. Their mission is simple: to offer help to those in need without discrimination and with dignity. They provide school supplies and lunches, emergency funds for rental assistance, heating or automobile fuel, utilities, and more. They also serve veterans and seniors in need. This is all made possible by an amazing staff led by Molly Bishop and a team of more than 200 volunteers, a true band of angels.

Both organizations hope to make this an annual event. They invite the public to come, join in this community effort, enjoy the show and shop for a cause. The SAA looks forward to welcoming everyone.
