EEA HAPPENINGS:

FEBRUARY 2024

RED IS THE COLOR OF COMMUNITY

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many thanks to the 99 EEA Member artists who made this year’s Elizabeth Richard Memorial Members’ Show a most powerful exhibition!
This annual exhibition is vital because it embodies the mission of EEA by bringing together a diverse group of artists within our community who possess an array of skills and express a variety of voices while exploring a single theme. ‘Well Red’ showcases quality works from many new Members alongside those whose involvement spans years and even decades.
Visit ‘Well Red’ in person and online, now through March 1st!
TEENS RULE!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Imagine a mosaic, not just of tiles, but of aspirations and expressions. In schools across our community, students come together, each contributing their artistic vision to create a mosaic portrait of Martin Luther King Jr. or another Civil Rights leader. Each school’s collective effort culminates in a striking piece of art. While created independently within their own high schools, these pieces unite in a grand exhibition – the MLK Portrait Gallery Show. Here, the story of collaboration, learning, and artistry is told school by school, piece by piece.

Opening Reception:

Friday, March 1 | 4PM-7PM

EEA Art & Music School [141 E. Main St., Riverhead]

Visit the MLK Portrait Gallery Show and help these portraits find new homes to benefit art scholarships!
