EEA & STAFF BRINGS

ART TO THE HEROES AT PBMC

———————
East End Arts School is honored to help bring some distraction and peace to our heroes on the frontline at Peconic Bay Medical Center. We are all painfully aware of how busy and exhausted their entire staff must be; therefore bringing them some joy during this difficult time is the least we can do to support our everyday heroes.
—–
Gary Long, an East End Arts instructor, has offered to create portraits, of any PBMC staff member interested, to honor those at the front line of this epidemic.
—–
He works from a simple headshot photo taken from their phone and creates the portrait. Once Gary is done with the sketches, EEA will post them to our ‘Virtual Wall of Heroes,’ and send the finished portraits to PBMC staff to distribute to each participant.
—–
A video of one of Gary’s sittings will be recorded to demonstrate his process. This video will be available to any staff member interested in how to create a portrait in this manner.
—–
We are all thrilled to help brighten the grueling days that the PBMC staff has ahead of them.
—–
Do you have an idea that EEA can sponsor to honor all of our Everyday Heroes, essential workers, police department, first responders? Reach out and we will do our best to make it happen!
—–
If you are interested in learning Gary’s portrait process yourself, sign up online at EEA. His online class starts April 14th and runs twice a week for 6 weeks.
