In 1976, the East Hampton Historical Society built a barn on Mulford Farm to house its artifact collection. Now, nearly fifty years later, the Historical Society is preparing to upgrade its collections stewardship for the 21st century!

On November 7 at 1 PM, you’re invited to Mulford Farm to celebrate the groundbreaking of our new Collections Storage Center. The new facility will enable the Historical Society to house nearly 20,000 artifacts representing our community’s cultural heritage in one centralized location.

Mirroring the appearance of the current storage barn (indicated by the arrow above) the new Collections Storage Center will include a basement level and provide exponentially more storage space in a fully climatized environment.

Attending the groundbreaking will be NYS Senator Anthony Palumbo and Assemblyman Fred Thiele, who were instrumental in securing funding from New York State, plus donors to the Historical Society’s Campaign for Collections Stewardship.

Please RSVP today to join us!
