Dear Friend,
—–
I was speaking to my friend, the artist and East Hampton-resident Almond Zigmund last week about social isolation, and she said she missed, “running into people.” As a close-knit community, we often see friends at restaurants, beaches and art spaces. Now, during rare interactions, we wave from a distance and say muffled helloes through our masks.
————-
This week’s series of Guild Hall offerings is about “running into” the familiar faces of our creative community and hearing their voices loud and clear.
————-
Curatorial Assistant Casey Dalene takes you on a tour of Alice Hope’s exhibition at Tripoli Patterson’s gallery, and artists Brianna Ashe and Mare Dianora offer you simple 10-minute “Art Breaks.” Artistic Director Josh Gladstone launches the “Make it Together” series for aspiring young playwrights, and Trustee and food writer Florence Fabricant highlights chefs’ recipes. Our great partners at HamptonsFilm curate your movie selections, and Education Fellow Anthony Madonna shares a growing “Monster List” of free creative resources.
————-
Until soon,
Andrea Grover
