Dear Friend,
As we reflect on another year of preserving the North Fork’s agricultural heritage and educating the community about its rural past, we are deeply grateful for your ongoing support of Hallockville Museum Farm.
In my first year as executive director, I have marveled at all of the activities at the Farm. From welcoming visitors to our Fleece and Fiber Festival, Country Fair, Spring Tea and Country Barn Dance and our first annual fundraising dinner to school field trips and house tours, to our beekeeping and community gardening programs and crafts workshops, Hallockville continues to be a vibrant center for learning, engagement and connection to the land.
This year, we celebrate many improvements to our buildings and grounds including the repair of the Homestead roof, installation of a new fence in front of the Homestead, a new ramp behind the Hudson House, renovation of the front door and windows of the Hudson House and the addition of a new outdoor bulletin board.
There is still much work to be done. In 2025 as we look towards Hallockville’s 50th anniversary, the preservation of our historic structures remains critical. This includes the adaptive reuse of the Naugles Barn, which will allow us to use the Barn for programming year-round, the maintenance of our 28 acres and 18 other buildings, the care of our animals and the expansion of educational programming — all ongoing expenses.
This Annual Appeal reminds us of the importance of your generous support in helping us preserve the rich historical fabric of our community. Your donation sustains the many programs, exhibits and educational initiatives that bring history to life for thousands of visitors to Hallockville each year. Whether a child experiencing farm life for the first time, a family exploring our historic structures or a visitor taking part in an event or workshop, your contribution helps us achieve these goals so that future generations can experience the rich agricultural and cultural legacy of the North Fork.
