45th Hallockville Museum Farm Country Fair October 3 & 4

Authentic North Fork Fair Offers Farm-tastic Fun for All Ages

Hallockville Museum Farm, the 28-acre preserved farm homestead on Long Island’s North Fork, invites the community to celebrate farm life, local history and culture, and community spirit at its 45th Annual Hallockville Country Fair, on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hallockville Museum Farm is located at 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead.

In support of the community that supports the museum farm, Hallockville will offer half-price admission on Sunday morning from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Country Fair admission at other times will be $12 for persons ages 12 and older; $8 for children ages 5 – 12; and children ages 1 – 4 are free.

The Hallockville Country Fair offers visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in Long Island’s family farm heritage, from livestock and tractors to handicrafts and historic home tours. Family-friendly activities will take place throughout the Hallockville Museum Farm property and the adjacent Long Island Antique Power Association grounds.

New attractions this year include:

Presentations about local indigenous peoples by Tony Valderrama, a protégé of the late “Tee Pee Ted” Strickroth;
A scarecrow making contest;
Farm animal presentations by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County Farm;
A dress-up photo station featuring colonial costumes generously loaned to Hallockville by North Fork Community Theatre;
A chain saw sculpture demonstration by artist Gregg Klewicki;
Line dancing lessons with Terry Lou Barrett.

Area growers, cooks and beekeepers are invited to enter the Produce, Preserves and Honey Contest to win prizes and bragging rights. The contest categories are squash (including pumpkins), potatoes, preserves, and honey. Entry forms may be submitted online and are due by September 25. Items to be entered into the contest must be dropped off at the Hudson-Sydlowski House at Hallockville Museum Farm on September 28 and 29 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Winners will be announced at the Country Fair.

The 2026 Hallockville Country Fair also will feature these popular activities:

Historical tours and traditional skills demonstrations including colonial cooking over an open fire, broom making and traditional bread baking;
Folk arts demonstrations including basket weaving, spinning, weaving, quilting, needlework and wood carving;
Tractor pulls and parades; blacksmith, sawmill and antique machinery demonstrations; and a children’s train ride with the Long Island Antique Power Association;
Wagon rides;
Old-fashioned children’s activities including sack races, crafts; farm skills and more;
A marketplace of baked goods, crafts, and handmade wares;
Live music by the Old Time Jam Band and the Yazoo Brothers;
Food and beverage trucks

Hallockville Country Fair will be held at Hallockville Museum Farm, 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead. The fair will be held rain or shine on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Admission will be $12 for persons ages 12 and older; $8 for children ages 5 – 12; and children ages 1 – 4 are free. To thank the community, admission to the Country Fair will be half-price on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
