SPRING CONCERT

——————————————-

The Spring Concert of the Jamesport Meeting House Chorus

conducted by Marguerite Volonts

——————

Sunday, May 19, at 4 PM at the Meeting House.

Tickets are $20 at the door.

————————

If you were thinking that NOTHING could sound as wonderful as the Jamesport Meeting House Chorus’s winter concert, be prepared to give your ears a happy and thought-provoking springtime treat. Come to hear beautiful melodies evocative of the season that will transport you from current conflicts (“Some Nights”) to a place of peace in the Middle East (“Shalom”), a tranquil valley (“Shenandoah”) and then onto the wild ocean with its relentless winds and currents (“Sail Away”).

Be uplifted by “Hope for the World” – the theme of this concert – find your own direction amongst the stars (”Follow the Drinking Gourd”) and just feel happy from hearing the beautiful voices (“I Sing Because I’m Happy” and “Sing, Sing, Sing”). The concert includes a hilarious rendering of the “Alto’s Lament,” featuring our talented alto section, and a beautiful Gershwin piano solo performed brilliantly by our accompanist, Jeff Wentz. These are your friends and neighbors, don’t miss this concert.

See you there.
