Robert Dash:
East of Eden
Curated by Alicia Longwell
Opens Friday, September 27
An exhibition of paintings from Madoo’s Collection assembled here in the artist’s Summer Studio is a selection, drawn from four decades of Dash’s work, that shows evolution in subject and style. The parallels between gardening and painting are a leitmotif in his writings and evince more about his approach to painting than the artist, famously reluctant to speak about his work, ever revealed.
Robert Dash, Flowering Pears, 1971-72, Acrylic on Linen, 70 x 50 inches.
