MONTAUK BREWING COMPANY’S #STAYWHEREYOUARE CAN ART CONTEST
Montauk Brewing Company is holding a contest to pick the color, design, and name of a new beer. To receive a blank can template, email: v@montaukbrewingco.com. The winner will receive a $500 prize and the chance to have their design used in a future special edition run of Montauk Brew Co. cans! Read more

#SUPPORTMTK RELIEF FUND FOR MONTAUK WORKERS
An online fundraiser has been launched to help Montauk restaurant/nightlife/hospitality workers. Donations will go towards helping to pay for child care, groceries, bills, and necessities for individuals and families. Visit spotfund.com to donate (search for “SupportMTK”). Read more

PLAYHOUSE FOUNDATION VOLUNTEERS FOR EAST END CARES
The Playhouse Foundation’s Administrator Lauren Maldonado (at left in photo with Foundation Development Director Julia McCormack) has been volunteering her time for East End Cares on behalf of the Foundation. Lauren’s using her administrative and organizational skills to help EEC’s relief initiatives, which include a face mask program and a volunteer buddy system for those in need.

ANOTHER WAY TO SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES
Purchasing gift cards and gift certificates from local businesses is a great way to help them stay afloat. The Montauk Chamber of Commerce has a handy list of businesses offering cards and certificates here and has now updated their website to include all chamber business members that are open.

GET MOVING FOR THE MONTAUK FOOD PANTRY
The “Montauk Need 2 Feed Virtual 5K” taking place through May 17 was created to aid the Montauk Food Pantry. Organizer Peter Ciaccia (retired president of the NY Road Runners/past NYC Marathon events and race director) says, “I have volunteered for the Montauk Food Pantry since my retirement, and right now we are trying to feed over 275 families every other week. EMILY ANDERSON | Award-winning British film director Emily Anderson has lived in Montauk for the last decade. This multi-talented artist is a font of creative inspiration—we love viewing the beautiful photographs and whimsical quarantine-inspired animations on her Instagram. In 2018, she premiered her narrative short film “Only the Wind is Listening” at the Hamptons International Film Festival. Stream it online free via her website,where you can view her other short films and learn more about her work and upcoming projects.
