A family friendly event for children and their adult companions.

Experience our current exhibit, Our Gilded Age in a Gilded Age Mansion! Travel to the past when the Mansion was home to the Bryce family in 1900 and explore art and objects on view from the period. Create cameo sihlouette portraits during family artmaking, and search the Mansion’s halls and rooms on a Gilded Age scavenger hunt.

Mansion Tours

Take a guided history tour of our Neo-Georgian, Gold Coast mansion, that was once the home of the Frick family from 1919–1965. See architectural details, hidden doors, old photographs, and hear stories reflecting the family’s life here in the early 20th century.

Into the Woods, 2023

Laurie Lambrecht

See this site-specific installation by Long Island artist, Laurie Lambrecht, located in the courtyard of The Manes Art Education Center. Images on soft tapestries represent the bark of trees in the Museum’s arboretum. Stay tuned for the next phase of this project along our Pinetum trail.

Spotlight on a Tiffany Lamp: A Verbal Description Video

This verbal description video provides an opportunity for visitors who are blind, have low vision or are sighted to experience the richness of one of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s magnificent stained glass lamps through a vivid, rich verbal description of materials, process and historical context in which the object was created.
