Transport to the 1800s through live music, dance, and gripping narrative as Jo-Ann Wilson shares excerpts from her historical fiction novel, The Diary of an Ex-Slave for Juneteenth. This interactive, oratorio-style reading features a variety of musicians, singers, actors, and dancers, bringing the story of a young enslaved woman’s escape to freedom—and subsequent life as an abolitionist and storyteller— to life. This event is provided in partnership with the North Fork chapter of Coming to the Table, a group working to foster racial healing and justice.

Saturday, June 20 at 8 p.m. Inaugural Piano Concert with Bruce Wolosoff
Internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Bruce Wolosoff performs his Rising Sun Variations for solo piano, recently released on the UK-based Avie Records label. This extraordinary work is an expansive and innovative set of 39 variations based on the beloved folk song The House of the Rising Sun, which has been lauded for its synthesis of classical, jazz, blues, and contemporary styles.
