Calling All Youth ages 10-22! We are super excited to announce Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical “School of Rock” as our summer 2025 Youth on Stage production!
If that wasn’t exciting enough, there will be 4 events throughout the year, culminating in auditions for the show. You don’t need to audition to participate in these events, and they are open to all youth ages 10-22, and their parents.
The first event will be held at the Theatre on Saturday, November 30, at 6 p.m. and is free of charge! The event will include refreshments, a film screening, and a chance to check out, play and maybe learn a bit about the rock and roll instruments that are used in the show: guitar, keyboard, bass and drums.
But wait! That’s not all! Come dressed in your best ’80s and ’90s garb for a peer-reviewed costume contest – the winner will receive a brand-new Fender Squire StratPack guitar and amplifier.
Rules for the costume contest:
The costume contest is open to all people in the Youth on Stage age group for School of Rock: ages 10-22. Ballots and name tags will be handed out at the start of the night. Grab a snack, walk around and say hello. Vote for your favorites and put your ballots in the ballot box. The results will be shared at the end of the film. The best costume prize will be this electric guitar pack with one month of free lessons from the School of Rock in Riverhead. See links below.
