Free talk: “Ancient Artifacts of Eastern Long Island”
Saturday, June 8th @ 11am – Old Point Schoolhouse
Dr. Lucinda Hemmick and Ephraim Horowitz of the Southold Indian Museum will present a free talk on the ancient landscape of Orient and the Native People who once lived there. Explore 12,000 years of history, Algonquian culture and the landscape that changed from the Ice Age to the present day.
The technology of ancient hunting weapons, artifacts, maps, slides, LiDAR images, paintings and other images will illustrate the talk. A question and answer period will follow.
