PARRISH ART MUSEUM ANNOUNCES KENNETH T. BERLINER
AS THE NEW CHAIR OF ITS BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Board of Trustees of the Parrish Art Museum elected Kenneth T. Berliner as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, effective September 1, 2019. “We are all proud and pleased to welcome Ken as our new chair and anticipate great things in the Museum’s future,” said Museum Director Terrie Sultan. “Ken has a great commitment to art, philanthropy and the East End and will be extremely helpful to us as we continue to develop the Museum into a leading cultural institution.”
Interim Chair Mary E. Frank will continue as President. “Mary is a world-renowned philanthropist and will be a great partner to Ken as we continue to move the Parrish forward,” said Sultan. “In addition to Ken joining as Chair, we remain committed to adding to the Board of Trustees and expanding our collection.”
“I am both honored and excited to work with Ken,” said Frank. “We have great plans to continue to build the Museum’s vital role in the local community and throughout the region.”
Kenneth T. Berliner joined the Parrish Board in 2016 and has been active on the Executive, Finance and Nominating Committees. Berliner is a Partner at Centerview Partners, a leading investment banking firm. Previously he was President at Peter J. Solomon Company and a Vice President at Salomon Brothers Inc. Berliner is a graduate of Duke University and Harvard Business School. He is an avid contemporary art collector and former director of Advanstar Communications, Aspen Park Pharmaceuticals, Humco Holdings Group and Whatgoesaround.org.

I am excited to work with Terrie and Mary to unlock the Museum’s full potential.
