NEW ACQUISITION | Simone Leigh’s Sphinx, 2021
Simone Leigh’s body of work spans sculptures, videos, and installations that explore Black female-identified subjectivity. Leigh describes her work as auto-ethnographic, and her salt-glazed ceramic and bronze sculptures often employ forms traditionally associated with African art.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS | Fairfield Porter’s Lizzie, Guitar and Christmas Tree, No. 2
Holidays look different for everyone. In Fairfield Porter’s painting of his daughter, Elizabeth, we get an intimate glimpse of the holidays in the Porter home as Porter’s youngest daughter practices guitar in an evening-lit room aglow with the soft iridescence of Christmas lights behind her.
