Join us this Friday for a screening of Queen of Hearts: Audrey Flack, as the Parrish commemorates Flack’s life and career, in conjunction with Audrey Flack: Mid-Century to Post-Pop Baroque, now on view. Queen of Hearts follows Flack as she takes her work in a brand-new direction and reveals her long-term struggles as the mother of a child with autism. After the screening, Film Director Deborah Shaffer and Louis K. Meisel will join in conversation with Chief Curator Corinne Erni as they discuss their relationships with Flack throughout her career and during the film production. FILM & TALK | SPARK: Robin Williams and his Battle with Lewy Body Dementia
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7 at 4 PM
In collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, the Parrish will screen SPARK: Robin Williams and his Battle with Lewy Body Dementia in the Lichtenstein Theater. This important documentary tells the story of Robin Williams’ battle with undiagnosed Lewy body dementia (LBD). The screening is followed by a panel about the disease and Q&A session. This program is free and open to all. Advanced registration is required.
