Work Continues on the Lieut. Moses Case House, Southold

Passing by the corner of Horton’s Lane and Route 48 in Southold, you may have noticed that work is once again underway on the Case House. Contractor Sid Beebe who worked with us on the move of the house in the winter of 2019, continues to help us realize our vision for the house.
—–
We hope to have much of the exterior work completed, including the installation of a new roof, siding, and windows by the fall. Donations from local community members as well as some of the proceeds from the sale of the farmland to John Murnane (see above story) have provided the financial resources to begin this phase of the restoration.
—–
We thank everyone for their support of this project and will continue to provide updates on the restoration. We hope to have the restoration completed by the summer of 2021 and to lease the house to a local farmer or community member. Interested in learning more or supporting the project? Contact Dan Heston, Director of Agricultural Programs or Alison Delaney, Development Officer.
