Pianofest in the Hamptons

Kick off your holiday week with

two evenings of magnificent piano music

The Fourth of July holiday conjures an immediate array of sounds, from burgers sizzling on the grill to the thunderous drumming of fireworks.

But here at Pianofest, there’s another sound we like to associate with these summer celebrations: live piano music! And next week, you have two opportunities to relax, recharge, and be inspired by some of the brightest emerging stars of the piano world.

On Monday, July 1, Annaliese Soros Visiting Artist Yefim Bronfman — one of today’s most admired and in-demand pianists — will lead a masterclass with Pianofest students in Southampton.

And on Wednesday, July 3, our pianists will be in East Hampton for another evening of thrilling music-making.

Whether you join us on Monday, Wednesday — or both — we look forward to experiencing these incredible performances together at Pianofest 2024!

Kyra Lombard

Kyra Lombard

Queensbury, New York

Now in her fourth year of study at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Kyra maintains a busy schedule on campus, performing regularly with the Oberlin Orchestra and the Contemporary Music Ensemble. She’s performed Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto with the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra in her home state of New York, and outside of music, you’ll find her hiking, reading, and traveling.

Ana Howland

Ana Howland

Seattle, Washington

Music is a part of Ana Howland’s DNA: She began taking piano lessons at the age of two, gave her first recital at nine, and made her concerto debut at 13 playing Chopin’s First Piano Concerto. Outside of solo performances, Ana regularly performs chamber music and explores her passion for neuroscience, which included a recent  internship as a research assistant at Harvard Medical School at Massachusetts General Hospital

Weiyun Chang

Wei-Yun Chang

Taipei, Taiwan

Wei-Yun Chang recently appeared as soloist with the Indiana University Ad Hoc Orchestra and the Coeur d’Alene Symphony as the winner of the ensemble’s National Young Artists Competition. Currently a doctoral student at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music — where she also completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance — Wei-Yun enjoys cooking and jigsaw puzzles in her free time.

Anne Liu

Anne Liu

San Diego, California

As a Young Steinway Artist, Anne Liu has appeared in recital at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Italy’s Lake Como Summer Festival, and China’s Ningbo Grand Theater. No stranger to the orchestral stage, she’s also performed concertos with many of southern California’s best orchestras. When Anne’s not at the keyboard, you’ll find her drawing, hiking, and exploring photography.
