Suffolk County supports our

virtual reality experience

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Suffolk County Office of Cultural Affairs has awarded the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center a $5,000 grant toward the production of a virtual reality tour of the barn studio. Using Oculus Quest headsets, visitors will “enter” the studio as it was in the 1940s and ’50s, when Pollock was working there, and in the 1960s, when it was Krasner’s workplace. Canvases by both artists will return to the locations where they were painted, and the artists’ voices will comment on their creative processes.
Rencher
Matt Rencher of MediaCombo makes a photogrammetric image of one of Pollock’s paint cans, which will appear in three dimensions in the recreation of his studio.
The project is also supported by grants from the Singer Foundation and the New York State Council on the Arts, through the Greater Hudson Heritage Network, and contributions by Drs. Bobbi and Barry Coller and Steve and Sandy Perlbinder.
