Preserve, Educate, Inspire

————————-
Renovating and Expanding the Charles Banks Belt Nature Center

Join the Quogue Wildlife Refuge in our campaign to renovate and expand the Charles Banks Belt Nature Center, this exciting project will double the usable space, create a dedicated classroom building, and enhance exhibits and animal enclosures to better serve both visitors and our wildlife ambassadors. Each year, over 150,000 visitors walk the trails, explore the exhibits, and experience the beauty of the Refuge. More than 17,000 participants, from school groups and summer campers to adults eager to learn about conservation, take part in our educational programs. But our current Nature Center, built in 1970, can no longer support the growing needs of our community or the wildlife we house.

At Quogue Wildlife Refuge, we aim to preserve our natural heritage, ignite a passion for conservation, and foster meaningful connections between people and the environment. Through our Preserve, Educate, Inspire Campaign, we’re not just safeguarding habitats, we’re nurturing a movement. These improvements will elevate the visitor experience, enrich the lives of our animal residents, and expand the horizons of our educational programs, all while maintaining the rustic charm and panoramic views of Old Ice Pond.

Your generous support is instrumental in realizing this vision, and we invite you to join us in this pivotal endeavor.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our foundational donors, whose leadership gifts have laid the groundwork for the success of this project!
