Earth Day Celebration
Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 12pm – 3pm

This FREE, family friendly event includes ecofriendly activities, fun educational programs, and opportunities to enjoy and preserve nature! Earth Day will include guided Birding Walks by the Eastern Long Island Audubon Society, a chance to meet live animals, free native tree giveaway from Bartlett Tree Experts, native plants sold by LINPI, up-cycled crafts, fair trade items for sale, environmental organizations, yoga for children & adults, and self-guided kayaking & canoeing on Old Ice Pond and much more. Come and enjoy delicious food from the MattiTaco Food Truck, or grab a coffee at the Hampton Coffee Company’s table!

Recycling Opportunities:
EcoTech Management will be on hand to collect all E-waste items. Gather up old computers, faxes, phones, small appliances, cell phones, tablets, gaming devices, TV’s, radios, or anything that plugs in or runs on battery. This is a free and legal way for you to dispose of electronics.
Wearable Collections will be collecting clean, dry clothing, pairs of shoes, accessories(including hats, purses, bags, belts, etc.), and home linens (including sheets, towels, curtains, etc.).
HUGS and Quogue Police will be collecting unused/expired prescription drugs, OTC drugs and vitamins.

Guided Bird Walks with Eastern Long Island Audubon Society:
Meet at the large trail map to join! Please bring binoculars.
Walks will take place at 12:30 PM & 2:00 PM

Kayaking and Canoeing on Old Ice Pond:
Explore Old Ice Pond via kayak or canoe! Available between 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Children under 10 MUST be in a double kayak or a canoe with an adult.
$10 per adult
$5 per child 12 & under

Yoga Classes:
Adult Yoga with Amy Hess will take place in the Nature Center at 11 AM. Bring a yoga mat. Please register for this program.
Children’s Yoga with Miss Samantha of Yoga Beans will be inside the Nature Center at 1 PM registration is not necessary. Please bring a yoga mat/towel. This is yoga for children ages 4-9 accompanied by an adult.
