Dear Members and Friends,

Summer is an exciting time at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, and I wanted to share a few of the wonderful things happening here.

Breaking Ground on Our Future
July 1st marked a historic milestone as we celebrated the groundbreaking for our Preserve • Educate • Inspire renovation and expansion of the Charles Banks Belt Nature Center. After receiving the necessary permits, we are thrilled to begin transforming our beloved Nature Center into a sustainable facility that will better serve our community for generations to come. We are deeply grateful to the many donors, grantors, volunteers, and supporters who have helped make this exciting project possible.

Wild Night for Wildlife – Saturday, July 11th

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is just around the corner! Wild Night for Wildlife will celebrate the beauty of our dark skies while raising vital funds to support the Refuge’s year-round operations. We are honored to recognize the Winklevoss Family for their transformational support of the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. The evening will feature exceptional auction packages, delicious food, local libations, and wonderful company. Be sure to watch for our online auction, launching next week, where everyone can begin browsing and bidding before the gala.

Celebrating Our 57th Summer of Camp

Summer Ecology Program is officially underway! This year marks our 57th summer of inspiring children through hands-on exploration of the Refuge and surrounding natural areas. For generations, campers have discovered the wonders of nature while developing a lifelong appreciation for wildlife, conservation, and the outdoors. We are excited to welcome another season of curious young naturalists. Programs available for children age 4 through high school, click here to register or learn more:
