We invite you to join us for the opening reception of Presence: The Photography Collection of Judy Glickman Lauder on Saturday, July 25, and be among the first to experience this remarkable exhibition on view at Southampton Arts Center from July 25 through September 27, 2026.
Featuring approximately 100 photographs by more than 50 celebrated artists, Presence explores photography’s extraordinary ability to preserve moments, people, and places. Inspired by Roland Barthes’ description of photographs as “certificates of presence,” the exhibition brings together intimate portraits, breathtaking landscapes, powerful photojournalism, and vibrant cityscapes that reflect the breadth of human experience.
Drawn entirely from the collection of photographer and humanitarian Judy Glickman Lauder, the exhibition includes works by some of the 20th century’s most influential photographers, including Diane Arbus, Richard Avedon, Imogen Cunningham, Danny Lyon, Gordon Parks, James Van Der Zee, and many more.
Join us as we celebrate the opening of this extraordinary exhibition and explore the stories, emotions, and history captured through the lens of photography.
