In 2021 we launched Feed the Forks to bring together the broad range of programming we do here on the East End of Long Island, from Riverhead to Montauk to Orient Point and all of the East End in between all under one umbrella. At the center of everything we do is an intent to nourish – through food, education, and building connections across our community.

We started off this year by welcoming five new board members, as well as two additional guest leaders, and we are already busy planning and creating new programs and events to bring us together and nourish the East End in the coming year.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make our first Chef Series of the year the success that it was! We are excited to welcome so many new volunteer bakers to our Flour Power baking community, as we continue to expand and strengthen the network of bread bakers feeding our community.

NOURISHING WINTER SOUP

As winter weather has truly settled in we wanted to share a recipe from Snail of Approval awardee,

Chef Noah. This nourishing winter squash soup is made extra warming with the help of ginger (and a jalapeño if you want to up the spice!) Use whatever squash you can get your hands on, and we invite you to spend an evening cooking up this delicious bisque.
