Working from a live model, artist Linda Capello’s figure drawing workshop will explore techniques of line, mass, gesture, proportion, and foreshortening, starting with short poses and working towards one long pose.

“Google search results for the words ‘white’ and ‘black’ formed the basis for these collage images painted with expressions of living organizations. The desire to infuse the soul of daily digital life informed the development of this work,” artist Seungjin Lee says of his works on view now for TECHPRESSIONISM – Digital & Beyond.

Originally from South Korea, educated in Japan, and now based in New York, Seungjin uses multi-sensory digital and analog media to create works that focus on the intersection of the human experience and the virtual world. He considers the relationship between technology and the humanity of the user.

First-generation Filipino-American, Jon has been influenced by the self-empowering and individualistic philosophies and aesthetic of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians ensembles, as well as the historic world-class tenor saxophone lineage from his hometown. He builds on this foundation by adding modern classical and late-period John Coltrane to his compositional base, focusing primarily on mixed chamber ensembles to take advantage of hand-chosen musicians’ voices and attitudes.
