Whimsy Motown Magic Returns to

Southampton Arts Center This Summer

Southampton Arts Center (SAC) is thrilled to announce the return of its beloved summer benefit, Whimsy Motown Magic, taking place Saturday, June 28 from 6 to 8 PM. This high-energy evening will be filled with live music, dancing, and vibrant celebration—all in support of SAC’s mission to build community through the arts.

Set against the backdrop of SAC’s dynamic cultural campus, Whimsy Motown Magic invites guests to kick off the summer in style with an unforgettable night inspired by the legendary sounds of Motown. The event will feature live music by That Motown Band, bringing soul and rhythm to the heart of the Hamptons. Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the ’60s and come dressed in their grooviest retro attire.

“We are thrilled to celebrate Summer 2025 with That Motown Band at Whimsy Motown Magic,” says Elyn Kronemeyer, Co-Chair. We invite everyone to join us for an evening of music, dancing, delicious food and plentiful libations all in support of our beloved Southampton Arts Center.” 

“Whimsy is one of our favorite events of the summer,” says Christina M. Strassfield, Executive Director of SAC. “The music is incredible, the people are full of energy, and the outfits never disappoint. It is a joyful evening that truly captures the spirit of community. We are so grateful to everyone who comes out to support SAC and helps us continue offering arts experiences that bring people together.”

Proceeds from the benefit will directly support SAC’s year-round programming and commitment to offering accessible,

inclusive arts experiences to the East End community.
