Bob Kaplan directs Terrence McNally’s classic comedy about the world he inhabited for more than a half-century. Regarded as the “bard of American theater” and one of our greatest playwrights, his credits include Ragtime, Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman and many more.
IT’S ONLY A PLAY takes us into the apartment of a neophyte Broadway producer and an entourage of actors, the director and playwright who all await the first review of their opening night performance. Filled with witty repartee, celebrity name dropping and scathing pokes at theater folks and their egos, get ready for a fun and edgy night of theater.
