Call for Artists! Ten Squared Online Exhibit & Sale

You’re invited to participate in our upcoming Ten Squared online art exhibit and sale titled The Natural World Around Us.

In this non-juried exhibition, artists are invited to submit up to three pieces of work that are 10” x 10”. Each work will be sold for $100, half of which will benefit Southold Historical Museum, and half of which benefits the artist.

The exhibit is an exciting way to showcase your work and benefit the Museum at the same time. All mediums accepted in a 10” by 10” format ONLY.

Finished works are due with submission forms to Southold Historical Museum the week of Oct. 21 through Oct. 25, between 10am – 2pm, at our offices in the Prince Building at 54325 Main Road, Southold.

Come Browse Our Autumn Displays at the Treasure Exchange

It’s starting to feel like autumn at our Treasure Exchange! Our volunteers do a lovely job setting up displays to create a warm and homey look. Come find beautiful vintage treasures for your upcoming gatherings, or find lovely decor items, children’s toys, accessories, and gift ideas.

The Treasure Exchange is open Thursdays and Fridays, 10am – 4pm, and Saturdays, 11am – 3pm.

“History in the Making” Golf Tournament Coming Oct. 7

We’re excited to have a full line up of players registered for our “History in the Making Golf Tournament” taking place at 11AM on Monday, Oct. 7 at North Fork Country Club in Cutchogue (rain date Oct. 10). The Tournament posthumously honors Thomas P. Grattan, Sr.

Contests include: hole-in-one, longest drive, and closest to the pin

(no additional fees) and awards for 1st and 2nd Low Gross. The day includes green fees, cart, locker room, driving range, meals, gift bag, dinner, drinks, and raffles.

Brick Dedication Ceremony at the Maple Lane Complex

Please join us for a Brick Dedication Ceremony at 11am on Saturday, Oct. 19 when we will unveil the newest bricks added to our beautiful Brick Garden at the Maple Lane Complex. If it is raining, the ceremony will move to the Ann Currie-Bell house and visitors are welcome to walk over the boxwood garden if they’d like.

The Brick Garden serves as a wonderful tribute and lasting legacy in our town. Please feel free to join us, or to contact us if you are interested in purchasing a memorial brick. Thank you.
