We’re excited to show a PREVIEW of all the wonderful works of local artwork that will be in our Ten Squared: After the Peconic Bay Impressionists online exhibit! The sale will be live on our website July 15 and runs through August 31.

Artists will be showing pieces of art that are 10” x 10”. At the turn of the 20th Century, artists were drawn to the East End for its light and beauty. In this exhibit, we will feature the Peconic Bay Artists of the 21st Century. Everyone is invited to view the artists’ work, and we invite you to take a sneak preview below. You may consider a purchase for $100, half of which will benefit Southold Historical Museum, when the exhibit is live at 9 am on July 15.

Southold Historical Museum is excited to announce sponsorship opportunities for our “History in the Making Golf Tournament” taking place on Monday, Oct. 7 at North Fork Country Club in Cutchogue. Would you consider becoming a sponsor?

There are many opportunities to gain wonderful visibility before and during the event! There is also an opportunity to sign up as a golfer or to give a donation to our raffle.

This colorful calling card was addressed to Mr. J. Henry Young. Written at the bottom in the graphic are the words: “Card to be shown at the door”.

The card is actually an invitation to a party. On the back it reads:

“You are respectfully invited to attend a Kettle Drum to be given by the Sewing Society of the Universalist Church of Southold at Peconic Hall on Wednesday evening, Dec 22. Should the 22nd be stormy, the entertainment will take place the first fair evening. Admission tickets 50 cents each, entitling the holder of the ticket to refreshments, a cup and saucer, and a napkin.

Tea at half past 8 /Dancing at 10.

Chinese fancy articles, small, suitable for Christmas presents, will be for sale”.

Little fundraising parties were very common in our town prior to World War I.

Join us for the Summer Antiques, Fine Art, and Crafts Fair, held on the beautiful grounds of the Maple Lane Complex at 55200 Main Road, Southold, from 9am – 5pm, July 27 and 28.

Not only will you find some unique treasures, you can also WIN some! The $5/adult admission includes a raffle with great prizes donated by local artists and businesses!

Join us for some fun. Get an early start on your holiday shopping!

There will be vendors selling fine art, antiques, pottery, photography, handmade crafts, and vintage treasures. There will also be live music! Join us as we partner with the Old Town Arts and Crafts Guild to present this two-day event.
