We’re thrilled to share that Southold Historical Museum will be featured on News 12! Be sure to catch the full episode airing Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19. Burger and A Beer Fundraiser at Greenport Harbor Brewing

Bring a friend and come hungry to Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. in Peconic between 4–8 PM on Wednesday, April 22. for a burger or cheeseburger, fries, and a beer for $35 per person (tip included). Proceeds benefit the Museum and its mission to preserve and share Southold’s history.

Purchase tickets online (small service fee applies), or stop by the Museum offices at 54325 Main Rd., Southold, Monday–Friday, 10 AM–2 PM.

Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the event.

Gardiner Grant to Support Our “America’s Birthday Party” Event

Special thanks to the Robert D.L. Gardiner Foundation for a grant supporting our Living History Revolutionary Encampment celebrating America’s 250th on July 11 at our Maple Lane Campus.

Enjoy a full day of immersive, family-friendly experiences, including:

Registration Now Open for the History in the Making”

Pickleball Tournament

 

Southold Historical Museum’s “History in the Making” 2026 Pickleball Tournament is taking place May 30 at Tasker Park. Players may want to register early as the event typically sells out and the price will go up May 1. Limited slots available. Competitors can register for either the individual Round Robin Tournament from 9AM – 12PM or the Team Tournament from 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM. There is a special discount if you register for both.

All are welcome. There will be community fun and raffle prizes. This event benefits the mission of Southold Historical Museum.

Education & Programming Liaison Opportunity

————

Southold Historical Museum is seeking an organized, community-minded professional to support its public programs, educational initiatives, and volunteer engagement efforts. This role coordinates events, schedules, and outreach activities while working closely with volunteers and interns to create meaningful, hands-on experiences.

This is a part-time position (2–3 days per week), primarily office-based.

The Education & Programming Liaison collaborates with staff, volunteers, and community partners to strengthen the Museum’s connection to the community and bring Southold’s history to life.

Southold Historical Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Southold and the North Fork. We value integrity, stewardship, and public engagement, and look for team members who reflect those principles in their work.
