Happy Birthday, Nikola Tesla!

July 10th marks the 168th anniversary of Nikola Tesla’s birth. Legend has it that Tesla was born around midnight during a fierce lightning storm, an event that foreshadowed his electrifying contributions to science and technology. His visionary work had profound impacts on wireless communication, robotics, power distribution systems and so more! Some of his inventions, such as the Tesla Valve, had no practical use during his lifetime but demonstrated his genius and understanding of physics.

Tesla held over 100 patents and made numerous predictions about future technologies, including cell phones, live video, artificial intelligence, and more! He advocated for harnessing renewable energy, exemplified by his work in capturing the power of Niagara Falls to supply electricity to an entire town. Tesla’s achievements spanned a wide array of fields, from building X-ray machines to developing complex scientific principles that took others years, if not decades, to understand.
