at Horton Point

SOUTHOLD, NY – The Cadet Chorale from the United States Coast Guard Academy will be traveling across the Long Island Sound to perform in Southold on Oct. 25 at 1 PM.

Bring a chair and enjoy this free program featuring anthems, folk songs, memorial music, and sea shanties. The outdoor location at Horton Pint Lighthouse, 3575 Lighthouse Rd., will make the event even more special. Dress accordingly.

The Cadet Chorale is a select group of singers drawn from the corps of cadets. The choir travels widely, performing for audiences each year in New York City, Chicago, Boston, and Washington, DC, along with many historic locations along the East Coast. Recent international tours have included England, Italy, Ireland and Germany.

The Cadet Music Department features a wide range of vocal and instrumental ensembles with a

robust performance schedule and a highly anticipated musical theatre production each winter.

Although the cadets in music department ensembles are all talented musicians, they are

specializing in one of nine engineering or professional fields, and upon graduation will receive

commissions as Ensigns in the Coast Guard. The cadet music programs provide a high-impact

opportunity for leadership development for all cadets who participate.

Special thanks to Suffolk County 250th for making this free program possible!
