Additionally, East End Arts is maintaining arts education and arts culture during a time where arts education and arts culture has minimal opportunity to be in peoples lives. We have continued programming for our community with limited resources and therefore; are still seeking individuals that want to help us keep the arts alive and support individual artists by helping us continue to bring arts culture and a creative outlet to our strong East End Community.

Private Music Instruction
One-on-one virtual lessons
30 minute, 45 minute, and 1 hour sessions available
In instruments such as; violin, piano, cello, guitar, vocals, trumpet, sax, bass (electric and upright) and drums.
Please inquire if you do not see your instrument, the majority of our talented staff is well-versed in many instruments.

Depicting Forms – Sphere
2 sessions – 30 minutes each –  Ages 12+
Taught by, Sarah Kennedy Drake
Students will learn new skills on rendering the sphere, a form commonly found when drawing from observation.

String Portraits
1 session – 40 minutes – Ages 6+
Taught by, Sarah Kennedy Drake
Students will learn how to and utilize cutting, measuring, and portrait building techniques from a new perspective. Students will be encouraged to create a background using drawing materials or more string.

Weaving for Kids
1 session – 40 minutes – Ages 6+
Taught by, Sarah Kennedy Drake
Students will learn the basic weaving skills and the start of a woven work. Students will be encouraged to finish their works or expand on them, including making multiples.

Make Your Own Face Mask
1 session 40 minutes – Age: 14 +, Adult

Students will learn how to make their own face mask and with a PDF pattern to continue to make them on their own.

Create and Illustrate your own Book
8 sessions – 30 minutes – Age 10+ to adult
Monday and Wednesdays times TBD
Taught by, Frank Emmett
In this course, Frank Emmet will bring his literary expertise and his many years as an elementary educator, to bring to life the world of picture books. The student will develop their own story or poem. They will then learn to layout a book and utilize illustrations to bring the story to life in a picture book.

Make Your Own Movie
Life With the Family on Lockdown – the Good the Different and the Discoveries
8 sessions – 30 minutes – Age 14+ to adult
Taught by, Miranda Gatewood
Miranda will help you utilize your cell phone video camera to put together your first movie documenting your life at home during lock down. She will review how to organize clips and combine them in iMovie or Movie Maker. This is a beginner to intermediate course and all basics will be reviewed. Everyone will critique each others work and together you will learn how to make a movie.

Online Portrait Workshop
12 sessions – 40 minutes ea. – All Ages
Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 – 1:40
Taught by, Gary Long
Students will be able to draw a reasonable likeness of themselves or other people using observational skills, taught through the “Seeing Mindfully” drawing method. Using demonstrations and individual instruction, Gary will guide you through this step-by-step process-driven skill.
