The Artist Members Exhibition invites all artists who are members of the Museum to submit a work to the show. The exhibition is not juried and features works by artists at all levels of their careers. Now in its 82nd year, the exhibition has a deep history in the East End art community; past participants included Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Alfonso Ossorio, Perle Fine, Bill King, James Brooks, Charlotte Park, and John Little, to name a few. Today, the Artist Members Exhibition is a beloved tradition in the lives of the artists and patrons on the East End of Long Island and beyond.

Susan Thompson, Associate Curator at the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum, was the awards juror this year and selected 15 artworks in categories such as Best Abstract, Best Landscape, Best Representational, etc. The Top Honors prize is given to the juror’s top pick and in addition to this honor, the artist is also awarded a solo exhibition in the Museum at a later date.

I could not have imagined a better exhibition to be ‘quarantined’ in the Guild Hall Museum right now. Four-hundred and thirty-five works of art living and breathing in the Museum, keeping it alive. Four-hundred and thirty-five artists being represented in one exhibition. A predestined opportunity for us to help artists during these trying times.

It is a wonderful opportunity for artists, and now we are expanding it through the web so anyone can view and support Guild Hall and the artists by purchasing artwork.
