NFAC: Movies are Back, April 1st | Summer 2026 Schedule — Live Performances, Events, Films ….

We’re thrilled to welcome movies back starting April 1st! While we’re still working on renovations across the building, we’re excited to reopen our three smaller theaters. And, with Spring Break coming up, we’ll be adding family matinees to the schedule – so keep an eye out for more details coming soon.

We’re also excited to release our summer schedule, filled with film screenings, live performances, and more! Included is a Summer “Save the Date” flyer — please print it out and plan around the calendar! And keep an eye out, as we expect more events as we get closer.

If you haven’t signed up yet for yourself or your family, our Summer Workshops are shaping up to be better than ever, and filling up fast.

Movies are Back!

Starting April 1st, movies are officially returning to Theaters 2, 3, and 4! While renovations are still underway throughout the building, we’re excited to reopen these spaces and welcome you back to the big screen just in time for the spring season. It’s the perfect opportunity to get back into the theater and enjoy the moviegoing experience again.

With Spring Break right around the corner, we’ll also be introducing a lineup of family-friendly matinees, giving everyone something to look forward to. Whether you’re planning a day out with friends or looking for something fun to do with family, there will be great options available – so be sure to stay tuned for more details coming soon!

SUMMER WORKSHOPS ARE OPEN FOR REGISTRATION

This summer, we’re excited to offer several creative programs to our community. Led by industry experts, these workshops encourage artists to develop new skills while building creativity, confidence, and community. Early bird discounts are available until April 15th!

Summer Writing Workshop with Mira Johnson *Limited Spots Left*

Dates: Saturdays 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | June 13th, 20th, 27th, July 11th, 18th, 25th

Age: 16+
Participants of all levels are invited to experiment with storytelling and develop skills in character, dialogue, and narrative while sharing their work in a supportive group setting.

Improv Comedy Workshop with Katy Berry

Dates: Monday, July 6th – Friday, July 10th, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Class Show on Saturday, July 11th at 10:00 AM

Age: 11-15

Introduces the basics of improv through fun exercises focused on “yes, and,” creativity, and trusting your instincts. No acting experience is required.

Summer Singing Camp with Erika Tuthill Cabral

Dates: Monday, July 13th – Friday, July 17th, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Showcase on Saturday, July 18th at 10:00 AM

Age: 9-14

Campers will explore pop hits, Broadway favorites, classic standards, and Disney songs while building vocal technique, stage presence, and confidence in a fun, supportive environment.

I ntroductory Animation Workshop with Elanna Allen and Jimena Faerber

Dates: Wednesday, July 22nd – Friday, July 24th 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Screening at 10 AM on Saturday, July 25th
Age: 6+

Participants will make their own short films using pixelation, a stop-motion technique that uses people as puppets. The workshop ends with a special screening of the students’ films.

Gives new and experienced performers the chance to create an original musical from scratch through acting, music, dance, and improvisation in a collaborative environment.

Memorial Day Weekend Movie Madness

As we look ahead to summer, we’re inviting you to help us choose a special film for our Memorial Day Weekend Open House! While our theaters are reopening in April, this vote is all about celebrating the season ahead and making MDW even more exciting.

Join the fun by participating in our Movie Madness series on Instagram. Every Friday and Tuesday through the end of March, we’ll be posting head-to-head movie matchups on our stories. Your votes will determine which films advance, all leading up to one winning favorite that we’ll feature during our Memorial Day Weekend celebration.
