GEORGICA POND PRESERVE

For nearly 9 months, the Trust has been laying the groundwork to return the Georgica Pond Preserve to nature. The time has now come to remove the old restaurant building. To prevent contaminants from entering the pond during the demolition, an eco-barrier was installed earlier this month.
Once the buildings are removed and the necessary permits from the Town are received, the Trust will restore the property with new native plantings, including Bayberry, Eastern Red Cedar, and native grasses. This will hopefully take place throughout the summer and fall. Stay tuned!
