CAROLINE WOOLARD: STUDIO/HOME
After the Plaster Foundation, or, “Where can we live?”

As part of After the Plaster Foundation, or, “Where can we live?”Caroline Woolard presents Studio / Home, 2014, which she describes as “an artist’s home in an artist’s studio for artists who often have to choose between having either a studio or a home.” Woolard’s sculpture—a mobile sleeping shelter—highlights the ways that artists are both implicated in and subject to the forces of displacement and gentrification. These themes are also addressed in artist Tony Cokes’ work B4 and After the Studio 1, 2019, excerpted for the exhibition’s online publication

ONLINE TALK: A TALE OF TWO WATERWORKS
Presented by Jeffrey Kroessler and NYC H20
March 2, 2021 – 6:00 pm TO 7:15 pm – Zoom

The history of the water systems of New York City and the once independent City of Brooklyn is not only a story of engineering triumph, but a story about the public spirit. Hosted in conjunction with the exhibition Ridgewood Reservoir for the 21st Century, situated around the Watershed Model, this online talk will explore the history of the two water systems, how and why they were built, how they determined the city’s future, and the story behind their unification.
