PARTNERSHIPThe partnership between Meryl Kramer and Marina de Conciliis marks a significant milestone in our firm’s history. It is the product of a shared vision: Marina’s timeless design approach and meticulous attention to detail complements Meryl’s extensive expertise and dedication to sustainable practices. Meryl has lived and worked on the North Fork since 1993. Her work gravitated toward custom residential design as she developed close relationships, listening to clients to understand their aspirations, and translating their visions into well-loved modern living spaces. Marina grew up in Italy and spent summers on the North Fork, developing a deep affection for the area. She practiced in Rome and New York City before moving her family to Southold in 2015, and has been working alongside Meryl since early 2020. Together, we create a highly skilled, synergistic team, sharing a commitment to creating spaces that enrich lives while being sensitive to the natural environment, promoting well-being and sustainability.

DEEPLY ROOTED IN OUR COMMUNITYWe offer decades of experience in the field, with strong relationships within the East End community. Meryl’s role on the Town Architectural Review Committee, together with Marina’s tenure on the Town Historic Preservation Commission, yield unparalleled insight into local regulations. Our projects fit comfortably within the local context and are expressed through a modern-minded design approach. Ever mindful of the talented builders and craftspeople we work with, we take pride in our collaborative mindset, from the initial design conception through construction.
COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Our work is defined by a specific architectural point of view rather than an imposed style. Our design ethos centers around materiality and place, resulting in spaces that are beautiful, functional and comfortable – tailored to our client’s aspirations. Throughout our process, we apply state-of-the-art building science and technology to thoughtfully design structures. Meryl is LEED Accredited and recently became a Certified Passive House Designer, underscoring our commitment to sustainability.
