SAC is excited to welcome Stacy Dillard to our stage. As well as being a sideman, Stacy Dillard is currently leading three bands of his own. cPhyve is the genesis project, along with cPhour, which is stylistically similar to cPhyve. The Other Side is exactly what the name says. The cast of members are the same as cPhyve, but r&b/funk/hip-hop oriented.
Stacy Dillard is a perfect example of the fusing of tradition and innovation, the combination that keeps EVERYTHING fresh, exciting, energetic, therapeutic, and, more importantly, real.

Doors open at 6:30 PM for social hour with a complimentary wine bar.

LIVE: LOOK AT THE BOOK OPENING RECEPTION

Come celebrate LOOK AT THE BOOK, a multimedia exhibition that pays homage to “Books.” The exhibition will focus on how contemporary artists have engaged with the book as a surface, structure, found object, philosophical, and literary guide. These 32 artists, by exploring literacy in their way, will celebrate the changing role of books in the digital age. They will also address issues such as literacy, freedom of speech, banned books, and the evolving role of books. We hope to shed light on the impact of these changes and spur conversations about their implications for society.

STUDIO: FIGURE DRAWING WORKSHOP
Fridays | 1 PM

Working from a live model, artist Linda Capello’s figure drawing workshop will explore techniques of line, mass, gesture, proportion, and foreshortening, starting with short poses and working towards one long pose. Each student will receive personal attention and detailed instruction. Dry mediums such as soft vine charcoal, conte, or graphite, and kneaded erasers, and 14″x17″ or larger pads, are requested.
