SAC Public Art Project:
Outdoor Sculpture & Art Installation
OPENING THIS SATURDAY!
On View Through September 13, 2020

Artists include Eric Fischl, Saskia Friedrich, Alice Hope, Bryan Hunt, Laurie Lambrecht, and Steve Miller.This special installation on the east end west lawn of SAC is a collaboration between Artistic Director Amy Kirwin and Artist Eric Fischl and reflects both nature and the new normal of life during a pandemic. The intention is not only to offer an open-air experience that welcomes guests to roam freely and safely, but to draw attention to artists that use nature and humanity as an inspiration for their work.

This project will enhance our beautiful grounds for the public to enjoy while taking advantage of the property. Combining both sculpture and installation makes for a dynamic use of the landscape, and the artists chosen all have works that will be in conversation with and draw attention to the stunning natural surroundings and existing sculptural features.

TAKEOVER! 2020: ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE

TAKEOVER was conceived by SAC Artistic Director Amy Kirwin and is sponsored by Ingrid Arneberg. Additional support provided by the Long Island Community Foundation and public funding from Suffolk County. 2020 artists include Jodi Bentivegna, Michael Butler, Isadora Capraro, Franco Cuttica, Esly Escobar, Melinda Hackett, Erica-Lynn Huberty, Dinah Maxwell Smith, Miles Partington, and Kerry Sharkey-Miller.

We’re staying open late this Saturday!To make Southampton Village more pedestrian friendly, and inspired by happenings and trends across the country, Mayor Jesse Warren and the Village Trustees have decided to open Main Street and Jobs Lane to pedestrians only this Saturday, June 27 from 6:30-11:30 PM.Our galleries and grounds will remain open until 9 PM and we will feature live music on the steps by Jill Yoo and Katie Herbst of The Wednesdays from 6:30-8 PM, plus the PLAIN-T tea cart! Some come into town for dinner, shopping, and a visit to SAC for TAKEOVER! 2020 and our new Public Art Project.

Demystifying the College Admissions Process in the Time of Covid-19
with Aristotle Circle
TUESDAY, 6/30 · 7 PM ET · FREEDonna Zilkha and Monique Bloom, both college counselors and partners at Aristotle Circle, will offer a detailed discussion regarding how and when to begin the college admissions process in the time of COVID-19 and how best to maximize outcomes and minimize stress.

Aristotle Circle is an innovative advisory service that specializes in admissions to US, UK and Canadian schools and universities, and assists families through all phases of their child’s education and later, their career. Over the last ten years they have counseled students and families from all over the world, and of course throughout the United States, to be admitted to the most selective colleges and universities.
