Thank you to everyone who joined us on July 13th at the 2024 Tesla Expo to celebrate Tesla‘s enduring spirit of innovation and discovery.

Throughout the afternoon, we were thrilled to offer a variety of hands-on learning experiences designed to inspire curious minds with STEAM-based activities for families. Despite some initial weather concerns, we were delighted when the skies cleared, allowing hundreds of guests to fully immerse themselves in the exhibits and activities.

The finale consisted of a breathtaking aerial light show by Sky Elements Drone Shows, featuring 200 synchronized drones, was a stunning highlight, capturing the genius of Tesla’s vision and lighting up the sky with brilliance.

From robotics demonstrations to the Tesla Car Showcase, Maker Space areas, and our rich history displays, your enthusiasm helped create an atmosphere that honored Tesla‘s legacy and inspired future generations. Your support and engagement make events like these possible, and we hope you left feeling inspired and excited about the future of innovation.

Join us for a special screening of Invisible Threads: From Wireless to War on September 13th to experience the gripping documentary that delves into the hidden history of wireless technology and its role in global conflict. Experience the untold story of Nikola Tesla, Guglielmo Marconi, and a mysterious German wireless plant on Long Island, where secrets, sabotage, and a legendary ship sinking intertwined in the shadows of war.

Following the screening, there will be a live Q&A session with filmmaker Joseph Sikorski and Tesla Science Center Executive Director Marc Alessi, offering a unique opportunity to engage with the creators and learn more about this fascinating piece of history.

Don’t miss another chance on October 4th to delve into the fascinating world of Nikola Tesla at the special screening of Tower to the People. Presented by the Cinema Arts Centre and the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe, this film uncovers the truth behind Tesla‘s most ambitious experiment for humanity at Wardenclyffe in Shoreham, NY. Despite being crushed by corporate giants of his time, Tesla‘s legacy was vindicated generations later, with the world coming together to preserve this historic site.

The film, part of the AMPAS Core Collection, explores Tesla‘s struggles and the significance of Wardenclyffe’s past, present, and future. Featuring insightful interviews with magician Penn Jillette, The Oatmeal’s Matthew Inman, and Peabody Award-winner Jack Hitt, this is a must-see for anyone interested in Tesla‘s enduring impact.

Join the SpaceHack Program and NASA Space Apps Challenge: Unleash Your Inner Innovator!

Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe (TSCW) is excited to be a 2024 host site for the NASA Space Apps Challenge. We are launching SpaceHack – Designing Tomorrow, Today, a groundbreaking educational program for high school students. The SpaceHack program dates will be on Saturdays, 9/21 and Saturday 9/28. This initiative, inspired by the innovative spirit of Nikola Tesla, will prepare participants for the Space Apps Challenge scheduled for October 5-6, fostering scientific curiosity and teamwork among students in grades 9 through 11. Registration for our SpaceHack programming will be available soon but email us today if you’re interested!

The SpaceHack program will provide a unique opportunity for high schoolers to engage in a series of seminars and an internal hackathon, equipping them with the skills to tackle real-world challenges using NASA’s data. This program will not only inspire the next generation of innovators but also contribute to their personal and academic growth.
