First, thank you to everyone who made our inaugural Architectural Boat Tour a wonderful success, especially our Admiral Sponsor Nemo Tile + Stone. The event, hosted by the AIA Peconic Women in Architecture Committee was engaging and fun, while supporting exciting new initiatives.
And thank you to our Emerging Professionals Committee and all who contributed to our exhibition at Bay Street Theater. It a delightful, interactive show featuring drawings by AIA Peconic Members and friends. Check it out while it’s still on view. Last month, we celebrated the exhibition as well as conducted our Annual Meeting at which Board President Edgar Papazian gave a report on our year and the following persons were elected to serve on the 2025 Board.
- Past President: Edgar Papazian, AIA
- President: Benjamin Chaleff, AIA
- Vice President: Pamela Glazer, AIA
- Treasurer: Frank Guittard, AIA
- Secretary: Christopher Jeffrey, AIA
- Associate Representative: Brianna Lopez, Assoc. AIA
- NYS Representative: Marjorie Goldberg, AIA
Congratulations and thank you for your dedication to AIA Peconic, our Members, and the community.
There is a good deal to look forward to, including this Thursday’s Regional Planning Panel Discussion on Community Housing. Simultaneous to our panel discussion on regional planning at John Jermain Memorial Library next Thursday, East Hampton Town is holding a public hearing on proposed changes to zoning laws at 6pm at Town Hall. AIA Peconic encourages Members and local architects to be engaged and share your voice at such opportunities. For those not attending the public hearing, we hope to see you at our free event exploring the topic of community housing (more information below).
