AIA Peconic: L.I. Architectural Boat Tour / Benefit Women in Architecture, Sept 28th

On behalf of the AIA Peconic, I invite you, your friends, and colleagues, to attend out first-ever Architectural Boat Tour. This event is a fundraiser benefiting the AIA Peconic Women In Architecture Initiatives (more on that below).

Passengers will enjoy socializing with fellow architecture professionals and fans aboard a two-hour boat tour departing from and returning to Orient Point, NY. Expert narration will highlight lighthouses and architectural sites along the shoreline (pending accreditation for one AIA learning unit). Catered nibbles, cocktails, wine, and beer will be served.

ABOUT THE CAUSE

The AIA Peconic Women in Architecture Committee exists to support and celebrate women pursuing careers in the field of architecture. Grossly underrepresented, female-identifying persons are integral to the success of the profession. The WIA Committee produces events, programs, and resources including a scholarship opportunity for local professionals to attend the AIA National’s Women’s Leadership Summit.
