AIA Peconic: Long Island Shore Architectural Boat Tour, September 28th / Benefit

On Saturday, September 28, AIA Peconic will host our first-ever Architectural Boat Tour. Benefiting the initiatives of the AIA Peconic Women In Architecture Committee, this event is designed for everyone!

Architects and non-architects alike will enjoy socializing aboard a two-hour boat tour departing from and returning to Orient Point, NY. Expert narration will highlight lighthouses and architectural sites along the shoreline including Fisher’s Island (pending accreditation for two AIA learning units). Catered nibbles, wine, and beer will be served.

ABOUT THE CAUSE

The AIA Peconic Women in Architecture Committee exists to support and celebrate women pursuing careers in the field of architecture. Grossly underrepresented, female-identifying persons are integral to the success of the profession. The WIA Committee produces events, programs, and resources including a scholarship opportunity for local professionals to attend the AIA National’s Women’s Leadership Summit.
